About us

At Andecraft Music, we are more than craftsmen; we are the caretakers of generations of instrument building know-how. Rooted in a deep love for music and driven by a passion for meticulous craftsmanship, we create handmade stringed instruments that embody the essence of artistry and harmony.

Our journey began 200 years ago in the tiny village of San Bartolome, Ecuador. Spanish settlers arrived with guitars built by the master luthiers of the day and the local craftsmen got to work uncovering their secrets. The skills and know-how was passed down through the generations and instruments continue to be crafted according to these ancient methods using primative tools, many of which have been also created by hand. We meticulously select the finest tonewoods from the local forests, each with its own unique character, to ensure that every instrument carries a distinct voice.

Our skilled artisans, utilizing time-honored techniques, transform raw materials into instruments that sing with soul. With every delicate curve and precise  adjustment, we infuse our instruments with the warmth and resonance that only handmade craftsmanship can achieve.

For us, music is personal. Your purchase of one of our fine instruments helps ensure the survival of these fine craftsmen and the craft that they have relied upon for generations. That's why each instrument can be linked back to the craftsman who made it, by hand, with love. We thank you for your support!
